NINE FREAKIN' YEARS SINCE I UPDATED THIS JOURNAL. Geez. So - I divorced, barely managed to keep the house, got let go from my insurance job (a huge blessing in disguise), went to cosmetology school, tried being a hair dresser in a salon and hated it, finally embraced my massage therapy license from 2005 (the ex didn't want me "touching other people") and am a super happy, very tired fiancee and stepmom. I got away from photography for awhile as it just felt... bitter. There was no joy anymore, just a sense of frustration. But I'm trying to get back into it, both as photographer and model. Crazy-busy!  .. the only word I could think of to sum up the past few months of my life. I: Got hitched; took 2 weeks off of work to spend time with Kate !Pixi-Black (https://www.deviantart.com/pixi-black) and Izzy :iconfresh-eye-coffee: .  (.. much drinking and photoshooting and giggling and movie-watching ensued); got offered gallery space at Davey Jones Locker in Albany (for SEPTEMBER!); got sick; helped my sister move out; helped my friend Dan move back to the area; started to prepare for the Undead show in October at the UAG... etc, etc. *deep breath* But I feel like I'm getting somewhere.  And I'm enjoying the ride, regardless of the destination... which is, I guess,

If it looks like some of my work is missing, it's not - I've just removed some images from my "featured" or main gallery so that it looks less cluttered.  The images that have been removed can still be found in their appropriate folders. On a photography update, I haven't been doing much lately - but I DID finally figure out my strobe light.  Apparently I was putting the hot shoe adapter on backwards. XD  Typical. I feel very stifled in my apartment.  I am tired of dismantling my entire kitchen for a photoshoot (it's the only place I can fit a backdrop AND the strobe), and honestly I'm a little sick of my own face right now... so self portr
